Home Care Services Manager - Aged Care

Location: Coffs Harbour, NSW
Salary: Approx. $95,000 + super (based on experience)

Are you an experienced leader in aged care looking to make a meaningful impact in a community-focused environment? We are seeking a Home Care Services Manager to lead and oversee a well-established home care program supporting approximately 80 participants, primarily based within a village setting, with a smaller cohort in the broader community.

This is a key leadership role with full responsibility for the Home Care team, offering the opportunity to drive service excellence, lead a dedicated workforce, and shape high-quality, person-centred care.

About the Role

As the Home Care Services Manager, you will provide both strategic leadership and operational oversight of home care services, ensuring delivery aligns with regulatory requirements and best practice standards.

You will play a critical role in:

  • Leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care
  • Ensuring compliance with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Driving a culture of reablement, wellness and continuous improvement
  • Overseeing participant care planning, service delivery and outcomes
  • Managing risk, incidents, governance and audit readiness
  • Collaborating with executive leadership to align operations with strategic objectives
  • Ensuring financial sustainability through oversight of individualised budgets, service utilisation and resource allocation

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor and develop the Home Care team
  • Oversee workforce planning, rostering and service delivery
  • Foster a positive, engaged and values-driven culture

Participant Experience

  • Ensure services are person-centred, respectful and responsive
  • Oversee care planning aligned to participant goals and needs
  • Manage feedback and complaints effectively

Governance & Compliance

  • Maintain strong systems for risk, quality and compliance
  • Lead audit preparation and regulatory reporting
  • Ensure services meet all program and legislative requirements

Financial & Operational Oversight

  • Monitor participant budgets, service utilisation and expenditure
  • Support accurate documentation and claims processes
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and service improvement

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive ongoing service improvement initiatives
  • Use data, feedback and incidents to inform outcomes
  • Maintain and implement a continuous improvement plan

About You

You are a confident and capable leader with a passion for delivering high-quality aged care services.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in home care, community aged care or similar
  • Strong understanding of person-centred care, reablement and wellness approaches
  • Experience in care planning, service coordination and budget management
  • Knowledge of aged care legislation, standards and compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance and build positive culture
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Nursing, Allied Health, Aged Care, Community Services, Social Work, Health Management or related field
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Current driver’s licence
